This, my third year in Glenview District 34, has been both busy and exciting. I am very pleased to be working with two eighth grade teams, Pathfinders and Galaxy, and the Omni sixth grade team.

Prior to joining the staff of Attea, I spent 8 1⁄2 years teaching honors-level language arts and literature to seventh and eighth grade students.  My extensive background in language arts, combined with a Master of Arts in Gifted Education, has enabled me to serve as a resource to my colleagues and to assist in curriculum development and implementation.  The part of my job that I find most rewarding, however, is working with my students!

On a personal note, I love to cook and experiment in the kitchen. With my busy schedule, however, my husband and three daughters complain that they never get enough home-cooking!

On the wall of my classroom is a poster that says, “Success is a journey, not a destination.” I am thrilled that my journey has brought me to Attea Middle School.
