Taking steps to keep our school community healthy

We have entered  the time of year when we see influenza (flu) and other respiratory viruses at school.  We want to let you know what steps we are taking to keep our school community healthy and how you can help.
Respiratory infections, such as the flu and common colds (colds), are spread when people come in close contact with sick people and inhale airborne droplets, or come in contact with contaminated surfaces.  Flu and colds symptoms can sometimes be difficult to tell them apart, but consider this:

Are you interested in science, technology, math, or engineering?  Through the generosity of the Glenview Education Foundation, Springman and Attea will be sponsoring a field trip to Glenbrook South High School on Monday, January 29th.  Attendees will participate in a design challenge and learn about the GBS STEM program.

This opportunity is open to students in grades 6-8; however, space is limited to only 48 students from each school.  To be considered, applications must be received on or before 3 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2018.  More information and the link to the application can be found in Schoology.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Danno!

Trimester 1 Grades and New Report Card Procedures:

For the first time, we're publishing report cards online through PowerSchool.  Beginning 12/5/17, parents will be able to see (and print if desired) report cards through their PowerSchool account. We will not be printing and sending paper copies home except upon request. Report cards will not be viewable through the PowerSchool app.
