We’re excited to announce an upcoming visit by children’s author Liesl Shurtliff to Attea. Ms. Shurtliff will be discussing her inspiration and process in writing New York Times bestsellers Rump, Jack, and Red. Additionally, our sixth graders will have the opportunity to participate in an author-led writing workshop focusing on the narrative skill “Show, Don’t Tell”. Please know that books can be purchased in advance for the author to personally autograph. Forms will be provided during our LA classes, or students may see Ms. Nekola in the LRC. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students, and the visit wouldn’t have been possible without a generous donation from our P.T.A. The author visit will take place on Friday, September 23rd.
Below is a link to the Attea LRC home page for information about the author.https://sites.google.com/a/glenview34.org/attea-reading-resource-website/book-recommendations/liesl-shurtliff?scrlybrkr
